A Claude Code skill · directed, not prompted

Websites, directed like films.

auteur gives Claude Code a director's pipeline — art direction locked before a line of code, assets generated by local CLIs, and every ship gated by an executable anti-slop linter.

The method

Anyone can prompt a page. auteur directs one — and refuses to ship slop.

  1. Commit-sheet

One committed art direction — a single brand hue, a type system, a motion budget, named anti-references — written down before any markup. No "let's see how it looks" drift.

  2. Generated assets

Imagery, video frames, depth maps and 3D geometry produced by local CLIs, routed by cost and by what each tool is actually good at.

  3. Build

One WebGL context, GSAP/Lenis scroll, DOM motion on transform & opacity only — from proven recipes: fluid, particles, 3D worlds, scroll-morph.

  4. Gate

Nothing ships until it clears slopscan (a runnable anti-slop linter) and motionqa (a real Playwright frame-rate & a11y check).

What it brings

A

Generated assets & video

Codex & Gemini image generation, Blender headless renders, Depth-Anything maps — real media pipelines, not stock photos.

local CLIs · cost-routed
B

Tier-1 / Tier-2 motion

Real-time fluid, GPGPU particles, 3D worlds you fly through, scroll-morph state machines, audio-reactive shaders.

one WebGL context · 60fps target
C

An executable anti-slop linter

slopscan fails the build on the AI-default purple gradient, blanket transition rules, autoplay sound, missing reduced-motion — provably, in CI.

Direct your first site

  1. 1

    Add the skill

Drop auteur/ into your Claude Code skills folder — ~/.claude/skills/auteur.

  2. 2

    Say the word

Ask Claude Code to direct one. It runs the commit-sheet, generates, builds, and gates — then hands you the site.
